Q: Can a US citizen obtain this
insurance?
A: Yes, if the US citizen is residing outside
the US for at least 6 months.
Q: After applying for global medical
insurance coverage, how long does it take to get
approved?
A: Generally, you are approved within 5 to 7
business days from the date the application is received.
You will receive your policy in the mail within 2-3
weeks from the date of approval unless you agree to pay
an additional charge for overnight delivery, which will
get the policy to you sooner.

Q: What is the difference between Global
Medical Insurance Plan and the Expatriot Plus Travel
Medical Insurance Plan?
A: The Global Medical Insurance Plan allows you
to obtain medical treatment worldwide. For instance,
under the Global Medical Insurance Plan, you may
electively return to your home country for medical
treatment, including treatment in the US. Unlike the
Expatriot Plus Travel Medical Insurance Plan, Global
Medical Insurance covers pre-existing conditions and
pregnancy, after certain waiting periods are satisfied
(See summary coverage or policy wording).

Medical Insurance accepted?
A: Yes, you may fax your applications to (212)

Q: I would like to purchase the policy,
do you require payment before my application is
approved?
A: Yes, our carriers accept MasterCard, Visa,
American Express for quarterly, semi-annual and annual
payments and personal checks are accepted on an annual
basis only. Checks should be made payable to IMG.
Q: What are the costs to add dependent
children on to the global medical insurance plan?
A: If both parents/guardians are insured under
the global medical insurance plan, then the first two
(2) children under the age of 10 are free. If you have
more than two children under the age of 10, then there
is a premium charge for the third child. If any of your
children are above the age of 10, then there is a
premium charge for such children. Please review the
premium table for rates.
Q: If I am a US expatriate who is
currently living in France and moving to Singapore, can
I maintain my global medical insurance plan?
A: Yes, please notify us of your address change.
Q: I am currently enrolled in the global
medical insurance plan, am I able to change my
deductible?
A: Yes, only at the time of renewal, and you may
only increase you deductible, not decrease.
Q: I would

Q: How
fast can any of the travel medical insurance plans be
issued?
A: If you apply
online, the plan will be issued the same day and you
will receive an email with your policy number. If you
apply by fax, the plan will be issued within 1 to 2
business days. In the mail, you will receive a package
that includes the insurance policy, identification cards
and contact numbers for emergency.
Q: I am
leaving shortly to travel overseas and would like all
documents in my hands before I leave. What can be done
to speed up the process?
A: When you are
applying for travel medical insurance (online or by
fax), you can choose to pay an additional fee for
overnight delivery, which will get the policy to you
quicker.
Q: Which
plan should I purchase, Patriot International or Patriot
America?
A: If you are a US
citizen, the Patriot International is the plan designed
for you. If you are a non-US citizen, you would need to
purchase the Patriot America plan.
Q: I am
traveling for one week and I notice that the shortest
period of coverage under the plan is 15 days, can I
still purchase the coverage?
A: Yes. The
minimum purchase is two weeks of coverage.
Q: Is
Patriot Travel Medical Insurance Renewable?
A: The ExPatriot
Plus plan is renewable for up to 2 years, however, the
Patriot International and the Patriot America plan are
not renewable. The Patriot International and the Patriot
America plans can only be rewritten.
Q: What is
the ExPatriot Plus plan?
A: The ExPatriot
plus plan gives you intermediate coverage for 6 months
to 2 years for both US and non-US citizens. If you are
non-US citizen in the US, the plan offers coverage for
only 1 year.

purchase travel medical insurance for my relative,
employee or friend?

Q: Who is eligible for a group plan?
A: Multi-national organization with a minimum
group of five qualified employee's
Q: Who is a "qualified"
employee?
A: U.S. citizens employed, full-time, outside of
the U.S. and/or Foreign Nationals employed, full-time,
anywhere in the world.
Q: Does the plan cover employee's
working for the same corporation, in different
countries?
A: Yes. For example, if you have one employee in
the UK and one employee in Brazil they can both be on
the same group plan.
Q: Is the coverage portable?
A: Yes. For example, if you have a U.S. citizen
working in Tokyo but travels or even relocates to Saudi
Arabia, then the plan will follow them around the globe.
(NOTE: A U.S. citizen in the U.S. full time will not be
covered under this plan.)
Q: How can the premiums be paid?
A: The billing structure is designed to accept
payment in the following modes: monthly, quarterly,
semi-annual and annual.
